Cruise Tip #5 – Flying On Cruise Day

You have saved up money, you paid for your cruise, you and your friends are excited, and the last thing you want to do is miss the boat! That’s why it’s best to not fly on the day your cruise sails – it’s just too risky! Even if your flight is on time, there’s always the potential for delays, cancellations, and other unexpected issues. So if you want to make sure you’re not left standing on the dock while your cruise ship sails away without you, it’s best to avoid the drama and fly a atleast a day before your cruise departure. That way you can enjoy your vacation the way it was meant to be – stress-free!

We have seen where it was sunny in Austin, Texas and not a cloud in the sky and the flight to Miami was cancelled on the day of the cruise because the plane was grounded in New York due to bad weather there. Why even risk it? Plus, I love getting up in the morning of my cruise and already being in the state I am cruising from. It makes the day so much better not having to rush and get from the airport to the cruise port where things will be hectic anyways. Its nice to feel like I am already on vacation and can take my time.
